The A7282 is a single chip RF receiver IC for GPS application. This chip designed as single conversion low IF architecture includes low noise amplifier, image rejected mixer, IF band pass filter, IF VGA amplifier, VCO, PLL, 2-bit A/D and internal regulator. With auto calibration of IF band pass filter and VCO, The A7282 need not external IF filter and VCO tanks components. Only bypass capacitor, external LNA and RF filter are required. The A7282 is single conversion receiver. It down converts the 1575.42MHz GPS signal to 4.092MHz IF. The on chip 2-bit A/D converter samples the IF signal and outputs the digitized signals to the base band correlator.
With on chip regulator, the receiver is operated from 2.4 to 3.6V supply voltage over the –40 to 85 °C temperature range and draws 17mA in active mode. The A7282’s packaged is QFN32 pin with 5mm x 5mm size.
