The response of the fiber op t ic elect ric field senso r is ranged from 100Hz to 50MHz. The modeling p redicts a phase sh ift of 0. 019radö(V ·m ) in the low fre2 quency (axially unconst rained) region and 8. 2×10- 4 radö(V ·m ) in the h igh frequency (axially const rained) re2 gion. A t frequencies h igher than 7MHz the op t ical response is dom inated by radial resonance of the fiber2jacket compo site. Good agreement exists betw een the resonance peak s p redicted by the simulat ion and tho se theo ret ically calculated using compo site theo ry.
