MAX14820 评估套件(EV 套件)由一块评估板和软件组成。评估板经过了完整的组装和测试,能够对 MAX14820 和 MAX14821 进行评估。软件方面,它兼容 Windows XP、Windows Vista 和 Windows 7 系统,提供了图形用户界面(GUI),方便用户操作这两款设备的各项功能。套件通过 USB A 到 B 电缆与 PC 连接。
评估软件的主窗口显示了 SPI 寄存器和连接到板载 MAXQ2000 微控制器的设备引脚。用户可以向设备发送读写 SPI 命令,配置设备输入引脚的逻辑电平,并读取设备输出引脚的逻辑电平。
软件还能自动监测 WU 引脚的唤醒脉冲,并在 GUI 上显示结果。用户也可以通过点击所需的 SPI 时钟速度单选按钮来更改 SPI 时钟速度。
与设备通信有两种方式。一种是通过图 1 所示的窗口,另一种是通过图 2 所示的高级用户界面窗口。通过选择“Options | Interface (Advanced User)”菜单项可打开高级用户界面窗口,该窗口允许手动执行串行命令,还可作为调试工具,手动读写设备的每个寄存器和逻辑引脚。
MAX14820 EV 套件为 MAX14820/MAX14821 IO-Link 设备收发器提供了成熟的布局。所有电源和调节器的输入输出引脚都连接到方便的连接器,便于进行探测。设备的逻辑输入输出引脚也配备了方便的连接器,用于逻辑测试。用户还可以选择连接自己的 SPI 控制器来访问设备寄存器。
收发器的 C/Q、DO 和 DI 引脚由 Semtech SDC36C TVS 二极管保护,提高了设备的稳定性和可靠性。
