- Abstract:
- Directly modulated optical transmitter is to accomplish the processing of the electrical signal, and its function is to transform the electrical pulse signals into the optical pulse signal. The paper introduced the block diagram of the system of the direct modulation optical transmitter, and the working principle and the functions of each module circuit, especially on the emitter-coupled drive circuit, automatic power control circuit, automatic temperature control circuit and laser slow starter and current limiting protection circuit. The whole circuit was desighed according to the working principle and the function of each circuit, and the key components of the circuit parameters were analyzed and discussed. And all the above-mentioned circuits was simulated in the Multisim 9 circuit simulation software to obtain the key components of the circuit parameters.
