Abstract:
 Another VMEbus bridge chip—SCV64 from Tundra Semiconductor Corporation is introduced, which can be a substitution of VICx chips. Then the detailed analysis of its function principle , characteristics of data transmission and interrupt mechanism are provided. Finally, a practical example of using SCV64 to implement the interface between local bus and VMEbus is given,which can avoid excessive and complex outer supplementary logic the VICx chip needed and provides reference for the VME bus system designers.
