The mPD754302 and 754304 are two of the 4-bit single-chip microcontrollers of the new 75XL series, which has a data processing ability equivalent to that of 8-bit microcontrollers. The microcontrollers realize low-voltage and high-speed processing, and offer an improved CPU function. The CPU mounted on the 75XL series is equivalent to the one used in the highest grade model of the conventional 75X series. Therefore, with the mPD754302 and 754304, more efficient programs can be prepared compared to the conventional 75X series. As a 36-pin small package is used, a low-voltage (1.8 V) and high-speed processing (0.95 ms:at fX = 4.19 MHz) is realized. These microcontrollers are therefore suited for small units which are battery-operated.
