本文在介绍专用ATM 网网关基本功能和工作原理的基础上，着重从硬件设计和软件实现介绍了嵌入式网关的实现。本网关采用ARM 微处理器和FPGA 数据处理单元相结合的方法，实现协议转换、OSPF 协议包处理等相关网关功能。

Embedded gateway based ARM and FPGA Zhang ying Lin xiaokang （The Department of Electronic Engineering ,Tsinghua University, Beijing, China 100084） Abstract： This article describes basic functions and working principle of the gateway in application-specific digital network, then gives the way to realize the gateway in hardware and software design. This gateway uses ARM mpu and FPGA to realize the functions such as protocol translation、processing of OSPF packets,etc.
