The core data structure for anENDis theENDobject, or END_OBJ. The driver must
allocate this structure and initialize some of its elements within the endLoad( )
function. The structure is defined in target/h/end.h (see also END_OBJ, p.51).
Some of the elements in this structure are managed by the MUX, but the driver is
responsible for setting and managing others.
