The uPD753104, 753106, and 753108 are members of NEC’s new 75XL series of 4-bit single-chip microcontrollers.
The existing model in the 75X Series with LCD controller/driver uses an 80-pin package, but the mPD753104, 753106,
and 753108 employ a 64-pin package suitable for small-scale systems. In addition, a super small plastic TQFP (12 x 12
mm), which makes a substantial contribution to miniaturization of the LCD panel, is also available.
FEATURES
• On-chip carrier generator for infrared remote controller (TM1, TM2)
• LCD controller/driver : Can display up to 96 segments (24 segments x 4 common)
· Common pins : 4 lines
· Segment pins : 24 lines (of which 8 can be used as general-purpose output pins)
• Instruction execution time (variable)
· 0.95 ms/1.91 ms/3.81 ms/15.3 ms (main system clock; at fX = 4.19 MHz)
· 0.67 ms/1.33 ms/2.67 ms/10.7 ms (main system clock; at fX = 6.0 MHz)
· 122 ms (subsystem clock; at fXT = 32.768 kHz)
• Program memory (ROM) : mPD753104 : 4096 x 8 bits
mPD753106 : 6144 x 8 bits
mPD753108 : 8192 x 8 bits
• Data memory (RAM) : 512 x 4 bits
• Five channels of timers
· 8-bit basic interval timer/watchdog timer
· Watch timer
· 8-bit timer/event counter TM0, TM1, TM2 : 3 channels
• Input pins : 8 lines
I/O pins : 24 pins (including 4 N-ch open-drain pins)
• Supply voltage: VDD = 1.8 to 5.5 V
• PROM version (one-time PROM) : mPD75P3116
