Design of information communication between user space and kernel on virtual tape library based on embedded technology Xuan Zhao, Xuelei Xu, Jianwei Xing, Hong Liu (Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084) Abstract: Communication between application and kernel is a key problem in the design of virtual tape library (VTL) based on embedded technology. This paper brings forward a solution based on shared disk and memory, which can transfer message between user interface and SCSI controller reliably.
