Abstract: Interrupt handling mechanism under VxWorks is of high performance in reducing interrupt latency and programming in application. MPC860 is a versatile one-chip integrated microprocessor which particularly excels in both communications and networking systems. In this paper, the interrupt handling mechanisms of both VxWorks and MPC860 are analyzed in detail. Then, the process of interrupt handling programming is described. At last, an example in application is provided.
