The MPC107 is the newest generation of the PowerPC PCI/Memory controller family. The MPC107 is upwardly compatible with the MPC106 at a software level, preserves all the essential hardware features of the MPC106, and adds many new features, including:
Integrated memory data bus registers
Integrated on-the-ßy ECC correction
Two additional ROM/Flash chip selects (RCS2, RCS3)
Fewer restrictions on RCS1 accesses
Integrated 5-port PCI arbiter
Integrated 5- or 16- port interrupt controller
Full PCI peripheral/target mode support, including IDSEL and INTA
I2C controller
The MPC107 also includes the following additional features:
DMA controller
Programmable timers
Debug registers
I2O controller
Integrated memory data bus registers
Integrated on-the-ßy ECC correction
