The ZM4102 is a low-cost fully integrated Z-Wave system module. The ZM4102 offers the functionalities of the 400 Series Single Chip in a package, which is pin compatible with the previous ZM3102 Z-Wave system module. The ZM4102 contains the 400 Series Single Chip, crystal and RF front-end circuitry required in a complete Z-Wave system. The module is suited for home control applications like lighting, appliance control, energy management, access control, security, building automation, AV control, and sensor networks. The ZM4102 has an integrated sub-GHz radio and a 8051 8-bit microprocessor. It contains a comprehensive set of peripherals to be used by the product application, 64kB program memory, and 16kB SRAM. Among the new features in ZM4102 are multi data channel support and excellent interference blocking performance, which provides superior robustness in sub-GHz ISM bands together with the patented Z-Wave protocol. The Z-Wave protocol uses frequency agility, frame acknowledgement, retransmission, collision avoidance, frame checksum check, and sophisticated mesh routing for reliable full home coverage. Products based on the ZM4102 are fully interoperable with existing Z-Wave solutions.
