The ES232 is a dual RS-232 driver/receiver pair that generates RS-232
voltage levels from a single +5V power supply. Additional ±12V supplies are
not needed since the ES232 uses on-board charge pump to convert the +5V
supply to ± 10V. The ES232 is fully compliant with EIA RS-232E and
V0.28/V0.24 standards. The ES232 contains two drivers and two receivers.
Driver slew rate and data rate are guaranteed up to 120k bits/sec. The ES232
operates with four 1 μF charge pump capacitors.
