Abstract:
This paper introduces a kind of video moving object detection device composed of a high-performance TMS320C6455 DSP. The device utilizes the characteristics of large memory space of TMS320C6455, describes how to use enhanced direct-memory-access (EDMA) and ping-pong buffering strategy to implement high speed data transmission. Software design is based on moving target detection algorithms of back-ground update. The test result confirms that the device has complete functions, good real-time, better adaptability to environments of the characteristics. It fits applications of real-time monitoring scene.
