Take the interference-imaging spectrometer for example, the paper analyses the characters of the spectrum-forming signals and their timing sequence. Then inspects the key technology in the interference-imaging spectrum data transmission system, and indicates a design for the system--which is based on computer PCI bus with CPLD technique imbedded. The system’s circuitry and function are also presented.

Combining the imaging technology and the spectrum technology together, the imaging spectrum technology,which has grown in the 1980’s, has a wide application on both military and industrial purposes. With the development of various interference-imaging spectrometers in the 1990’s and the rapid increasing capacity of the outputs, there is a demanding of more reliable data transaction & recording system for the imaging spectrometers. Researchers and system developers nowadays are interested in taking advantage of personal computers’ s high performance in data processing to achieve spectrum data transmission, storage,computation and display. Based on computer PCI bus, the author designs a spectrometer’s data transmission system for an interference-imaging spectrometer.
