Take the interference-imaging spectrometer for example, the paper analyses the characters of the spectrum-forming signals and their timing sequence. Then inspects the key technology in the interference-imaging spectrum data transmission system, and indicates a design for the system--which is based on computer PCI bus with CPLD technique imbedded. The system’s circuitry and function are also presented. Key word: interference-imaging spectrum data transmission, PCI bus, CPLD Combining the imaging technology and the spectrum technology together, the imaging spectrum technology,which has grown in the 1980’s, has a wide application on both military and industrial purposes. With the development of various interference-imaging spectrometers in the 1990’s and the rapid increasing capacity of the outputs, there is a demanding of more reliable data transaction & recording system for the imaging spectrometers. Researchers and system developers nowadays are interested in taking advantage of personal computers’ s high performance in data processing to achieve spectrum data transmission, storage,computation and display. Based on computer PCI bus, the author designs a spectrometer’s data transmission system for an interference-imaging spectrometer.
