This paper introduces the design and development of RIP router R3206 based on the imbedded operating system named vxWorks．Test the cooperation between our router R3206 and the similar routing products such as Cisco1750，StarR2501 and DCR2501．Solve the problem of unicast，broadcast and multicast to make the router R3206 work stably．
