The AL8237 core is the VHDL model of the Intel™ 8237 4 channel programmable DMA
controller which controls memory-to-memory and memory-to-peripheral data transfers and
provides block memory initialization capability.
Features
· Functionally based on the Intel 8237A device
· Four independent DMA channels
· Support for extra channels
· Single, block or demand mode transfers
· Independent auto-initialization of all channels
· Fixed or rotating channel priority
· Includes direct bit set/reset capability
