Abstract: The electronic sheet music reader based on embedded platform would give people a
better way to read sheet music rather than traditional paper-based sheet and music stand, and
reading MIDI format digital music is of great significance. This artical shows the whole process of generating the staff information from MIDI file, and it gives a detailed description of MIDI file format as well as the solution to the diversity of problems in MIDI file format analysis.
