Abstract : Fiber optic sensors(FOS) represent a new kind of sensing technology applicable in many fields. Fiber optic sensors suitable for monitoring the cure of polymer - mat rix composite materials are presented with const ructing techniques , operating principles and detecting methods of measurement system described. Key problems associated with FOS’s utilization in engineering are also discussed in detail.
