Deansbook3Connecting to Emulator Devices The IMPACT Software lets you configure a vision device to work with or without a camera and to create a vision program without a vision device. You can create or edit a vision programs with previously captured images. To accomplish this you must first connect to an IMPACT Device or Emulator.
1. Start VPM by double clicking on the Vision Program Manager （VPM） icon. The VPM Program Starts
2. VPM will automatically scan for IMPACT devices on the client‘s network and display the Device Selection list. If you know the IP address of the device you are connecting to， you can also manually type in the IP address of the device and click on the Connect to Device button. For this lab select the Emulator you want to start. Press the “Connect to Device” button.
