Abstract: Th is art icle int roduces the concep t, targets and characterist ics of CE (Concurrent Engineering). By compared w ith the t radit ional design method, the wo rk ing p rincip le and operat ing model of CE are exp lained. The mat ters needing at tent ion in CE app licat ion to the bus p roduct development are put fo rw ard, too.
