平均发射参考(ATR)调制技术和前向纠错(FEC)编码技术都能通过增加冗余信号改善超宽带(UWB)自相关接收机的检测性能。为了研究在相同的冗余度下哪一种技术能提供更好的改善效果,本文比较了ATR调制系统和BCH 编码DPSK 系统在多径信道下的性能。经过理论分析和IEEE 多径信道仿真表明:ATR 调制技术在远距离低信噪比时更有优势,但只能在参考信号个数较少时改善性能;FEC 编码技术则在近距离高信噪比时改善误码率和降低码间串扰更为明显。 关键词:超宽带接收机;平均发射参考调制;前向纠错编码;性能比较 Abstract: Both averaged transmitted-reference (ATR) modulation technique and forward error correction (FEC) coding technique can improve the performance of Ultra-wideband (UWB) autocorrelation receiver by adding some redundant signals. In order to study which technique can provide much better improvement with the same amount of redundancy, a performance comparison between ATR modulation system and BCH coded DPSK system in a multipath channel was made in this paper. The two systems were analyzed in theory and simulated in the IEEE multipath channel model. The results show that ATR modulation technique has more superiority at low Eb/N0 (far distance) situation, but only raise the performance at small reference signal numbers; At high Eb/N0 (near distance) situation, FEC coding technique has better bit error rate and can reduce ISI more remarkable.
