本系统采用凌阳公司的SPCE061A十六位单片机作为主控单元，步进电机作为运动驱动电路，1X8键盘系统的输入,通过数码管输出系统信息。本系统的工作过程首先在数码管显示操作的提示信息，通过键盘选择功能键和数字键输入单片机，系统发出信号到电机控制器控制步进电动机的动作，同时奏国歌,通过滑轮的传动完成升旗和降旗。升降旗过程中能实时显示国旗的高度和时间，且升降旗的速度可调，国旗能在指定位置自动停止。
