CC1000 Important Notice
CC1000 used in On-Off Keying (OOK) systems
CC1000 is being produced at two different fabs using identical manufacturing
processes and two slightly different mask sets. The two chips are identical from a
performance point of view. However, due to different internal voltage supply
configurations only one of the CC1000 versions is suitable for OOK systems operating
in Tx mode.
For those companies using CC1000 in OOK systems modulating by switching the PA
supply voltage for pin 5 (AVDD), as described in Application Note 016 (AN016), it is
of vital importance to use the correct CC1000 version of the chip. Otherwise the OOK
system will not work. Please note that the alternative method utilising OOK
modulation through the programming interface will work as described independent of
chip version.
