Abstract
As the need for capacity increases, telecommunications operators
employ new technologies to address this requirement. One such
technique is that of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM). This
product note addresses the WDM system, the design and maintenance
issues warranting measurement, and how the Agilent 86120 Multi-
Wavelength Meter can be used to easily and effectively help engineers
and technicians working with WDM systems.
