In Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) a transformer
provides isolation between the primary source and the
secondary load(s). If the SMPS controller is located on the
primary side of the transformer, the feedback voltage
from the secondary is fed back to the primary side
through another isolation barrier, usually an opto coupler.
Tight output regulation is more difficult in multiple output
