Abstract :Autonomous intelligent cruise control systems use forward looking radar sensors to collect information about traffic and obstacles in the roadway ahead. Two kind of forward looking radar sensors , millimeter wave radar and laser radar are presented ,which are used to track vehicles for autonomous intelligent cruise control ,and the principle , specification and development of the radar sensors are introduced.
