This application note describes how data collected from UTRAN with
Agilent J7830A Signaling Analyzer software can be used for optimization of
UMTS networks. The methodology explained here is based on the existing
features in Signaling Analyzer. Majority of the data required for optimization
are present over Iub interface. However, since Iub data is ciphered, by
monitoring Iu interface we can use auto-deciphering feature of Signaling
Analyzer to decipher data and get more details about the calls.
