- MQAM technology transmits information bits by means of amplitude and phase of carrier at the same time,which has many advantages as using bandwidth fully and having more anti-noisy characteristics.MQAM has been used in the sys-tems of TV,microwave communication and light transmission.To design MQAM transmitter is the base of studying modula-tion and demodulation technology of MQAM.ADL5385is a silicon quadrature modulator for use from50MHz to2200MHz produced by analog devices,Inc.The paper discusses the designation of155Mbps(STM-1)128QAM transmitter using ADL5385which makes reference for MQAM study.
