- This paper analyses the importance of heterogeneous data integration in digital campus construct，introduces character of heterogeneous database system and some methods of heterogeneous data integration and researches XML application in heterogeneous data integration.On this basis,the model of heterogeneous data integration based on XML is designed to resolve the information islands problem in the building of digital campus.
