 The FSDM0265RNB by fairchild semiconductor,a monolithic IC which integrates all functions necessary for a PWM control system,is specifically designed for high performance off-line SMPS．The main features of FSDM0265RNB and its application in STB are introduced,SMPS principles are analyzed based on the device in detail．An example of troubleshooting SMPS is analyzed and should be helpful for electronic repairers.
