Polyphase resampling filters are often used for timing
adjustments in bit synchronizer loops. They are most
commonly used at high baud rates where the sample rate to
baud rate ratio (fS/RBaud) is low. The HSP50110 Digital
Quadrature Tuner (DQT) and HSP50210 Digital Costas
Loop (DCL) chips support NCO driven polyphase
resampling filtering when the HSP43168 Dual FIR Filter
(DFF) is inserted between them. This Application Note will
address use of the DQT, DFF and DCL in the polyphase
filtering configuration.
