The ML87V3104 is an LCD graphic display controller intended for use in medium to small-sized equipment such as PDAs or portable information terminals using QVGA grade medium-sized LCD panels. It includes an internal display memory which allows a reduction in component count. The display memory size is easily configurable for multiple panel sizes such as 1024 x 1024 dots x 4 bits or 2048 x 256 dots x 8 bits. Depending on the intended application, it is possible to access the image data without concern for address conversion. The area specified in the display memory is output on the display. The display data and the control information can be set by the host CPU.
