The DS28E05 is a 112-byte user-programmable EEPROMorganized as 7 pages of 16 bytes each. Memory pagescan be individually set to write protected or EPROMemulation mode through protection byte settings. Eachpart has its own guaranteed unique 64-bit ROM identificationnumber (ROM ID) that is factory programmedinto the chip. The DS28E05 communicates over MaximIntegrated’s single contact 1-Wire® interface at overdrivespeed with the ROM ID acting as node address in thecase of a multiple-device 1-Wire network.
