The MAX15301 is a full-featured, highly efficient, digitalpoint-of-load (PoL) controller with advanced power managementand telemetry features. Unlike PID-based digitalpower regulators, the MAX15301 uses Maxim’s patentedInTune™ automatically compensated, state-space controlalgorithm. The InTune control law is valid for boththe small- and large-signal response and accounts forduty-cycle saturation effects. This eliminates the need forusers to determine and set thresholds for transitioningfrom linear to nonlinear modes. These capabilities resultin fast loop transient response and reduce the number
of output capacitors compared to competing analog anddigital controllers.
