The DAC5578, DAC6578, and DAC7578 are low-power, voltage-output, eight-channel, 8-/10-/12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs). The DAC5578, DAC6578, and DAC7578 accept external reference voltages at the VREFIN pin of up to AVDD, giving a full-scale output voltage range up to AVDD. These devices are monotonic, provide very good linearity, and minimize undesired code-to-code transient voltages (glitch).
The DAC5578, DAC6578, and DAC7578 use a versatile, two-wire serial interface that is I2C-compatible and operates at clock rates of up to 3.4MHz. Multiple devices can share the same bus.
The DAC5578, DAC6578, and DAC7578 incorporate a power-on-reset (POR) circuit that ensures the DAC output powers on at either zero-scale or midscale until a valid code is written to the device.
